 This small photo is only four inches by two and three-eighths inches. Printed on the reverse is "Post Card" with divisions for "Correspondence" on one half and "Address only" on the other. The address is filled out as follows: Roy B. Hawkins, Chambersville, Virginia. In the message area is written only "1917". There is no stamp or other indication it was ever mailed.
 Roy's wife, Pauline Larrick Hawkins, gave this picture to her daughter, Dorothy, in response to a request for a picture of "Dad" when he was young.
